Sign and file online, legally and securely
A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is the electronic equivalent of your handwritten signature, issued by a Certifying Authority licensed by the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) under the Information Technology Act, 2000. It carries the same legal validity as a wet signature and is mandatory for most MCA, GST, Income Tax audit, and e-tendering filings.
We handle issuance end-to-end — application, video KYC, token programming, and dispatch of the USB cryptographic token.
Which DSC do you need?
| Signature only | Encryption | Combo (Sign + Encrypt) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Signing forms and returns | Securing confidential documents | Both functions on one token |
| Typical users | Directors, partners, professionals, taxpayers | Tender participants, bidders | Government e-tendering, e-procurement |
| Used for | MCA filings, ITR, GST, EPFO, DGFT | Encrypting bid documents | Full e-tender participation |
Class 3 is the current standard. Class 2 DSCs were discontinued, and Class 3 is now used for all filings including MCA and Income Tax. DSCs are typically issued with a validity of one, two, or three years, after which they must be renewed.
Who needs one
Company directors and LLP designated partners, statutory auditors and professionals (CA/CS/CMA), individuals filing tax audit returns, GST-registered businesses, importers and exporters filing with DGFT, and anyone bidding on government tenders.
Timeline: Usually 1–3 working days once video KYC is completed, subject to Certifying Authority processing and courier time for the token.
Step 1 — Choose certificate type and validity
Decide between Signature, Encryption, or Combo, and select a validity period. We’ll match this to what your filings actually require so you don’t overpay for unused capability.
Step 2 — Application form submission
The application is filed with a CCA-licensed Certifying Authority. Your name, email, and mobile number must match your PAN and Aadhaar records exactly — mismatches are the single most common cause of rejection.
Step 3 — Mobile and email verification
An OTP is sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar and to your registered email ID. Both must be verified to proceed.
Step 4 — Document upload
Self-attested, colour scans of PAN, address proof, and a recent photograph are submitted along with the application.
Step 5 — Video KYC
A short recorded video verification is mandatory. You read out a displayed code while holding your original PAN card, in good lighting with clear audio. This is reviewed and approved by the Certifying Authority.
Step 6 — Approval and token download
On approval, the certificate is downloaded onto a FIPS-compliant USB cryptographic token. Certificates cannot be issued as a downloadable file alone — storage on a secure hardware token is mandatory under CCA norms.
Step 7 — Installation and registration
We help install the token drivers and register the DSC on the relevant portal — MCA, Income Tax e-filing, GST, DGFT, or the e-procurement platform you’ll be using.

Notes
Legal validity
Digital signatures are recognised under the Information Technology Act, 2000, giving electronically signed documents the same standing as physically signed ones in most contexts.
Mandatory compliance access
Without a DSC you cannot file with the MCA, submit tax audit returns, file certain GST returns, or participate in government e-tendering. It’s the key that unlocks the filing infrastructure.
Authenticity and tamper detection
Each signature is cryptographically bound to the document. Any alteration after signing invalidates the signature, giving you a verifiable audit trail.
Non-repudiation
Because the private key sits on a PIN-protected hardware token that only you control, the signer cannot later credibly deny having signed.
Faster turnaround, lower cost
No printing, couriering, or scanning cycles. Documents move between parties in minutes, and filings can be completed from anywhere.
Access to tenders and procurement
A Class 3 Combo DSC is the entry requirement for CPPP, GeM, and most state e-procurement portals, opening up government contract opportunities.
Portable and reusable
One token works across MCA, Income Tax, GST, DGFT, EPFO, and e-tendering portals for the full validity period.
